I created the account Serene (Lordaeron) on 7/6/12 and formed a clan several days ago [7/18/12] with Serene as the clan's Chieftain. A few days ago when I went to log on to my account, I found myself unable to access the account using the password that I registered the account with. I have made multiple requests for a new password using the Password Recovery system with the email address that I registered for the account, but I have not received any "Battle.net Account Password Recovery" emails.

Oddly, when I look at my Clan Profile it shows Serene as the Clan KONA Chieftain, but when I look at the Serene Account Profile it doesn't show that the account is a Chieftain or that it is linked to the clan at all. Is this some sort of error or it is possible that my account is for some reason frozen? If so, is there any way to fix this?

I have no way to alter that and I'm not entirely sure of the status of USEast (Azeroth) and clans right now. I believe they'll be attempting to resolve it again in the near future though.

I just created it a couple minutes ago.

so the account was created 2012-07-06
the clan was created 2012-07-18 ( shows in the clan profile )
blizzard deleted the account
their system says it was created 2012-07-22 ( I wonder how that date is relevant at all? guess they've been tampering with something again that day. maybe it's when they deleted it. )
and I created the account 2012-07-25

I didn't log in with it and you can register it when you log in later.

leave one of your bots on the clan channel or something so I'll stop by at some point and I give the password.

@Marty, I think the original poster said his account is from Lordaeron aka USWest, the clan wipe/unintentional ladder reset happened on USEast only

@Ljawir, you sure you made that account on Lordaeron?

Oh Marty, if you also could pass along that the Azeroth ladder website is still messed up, it would be nice if they fixed that as well. Lots of inactives populating the top ranks and such (such as rank 1 RT), hopefully they are aware of this...

that's funny, I had just woken up so I didn't realize the clan wipe stuff should only affect azeroth, but it seems to me that the clan wipe episode is the only possible reason for all this, so that means they're tampering with lordaeron now?

but yes, I made the account for lordaeron, and I'm able to change the password for Serene@Lordaeron

Thank you Ljawir! I have left KONA-1 in the channel for whenever you are able to stop by. If I am not present at that time, you can just whisper the password to KONA-1 and I will see it later. Alternatively, you can email the password to the email account clankona@live.com at anytime. I have no idea how this happened, but I would not be surprised if this issue was somehow related to the recent server adjustments. Nevertheless, I am very glad that you were able to recreate the account.

Lordaeron clan KONA was created 18th of july & the last time Serene logged on @Lordaeron was 7 days ago. he referred to Lordaeron in his OP, and you replied talking about Azeroth.

We really can't do much if anything clan-related in any case.

To the best of my knowledge, no changes have been made that would affect clan info on Lordaeron. They've only migrated Azeroth to new hardware so far. They'll be making an announcement before they do anything to any other realms.

that's the reasoning I would've started with, too, but the Lordaeron clan KONA profile page says SERENE was last online 8 days ago. that's a different number from that of which is shown on the azeroth side & it's before 07-22. so 1) Lordaeron clan pages have different information than azeroth pages, and 2) they both say SERENE existed before 07-22.

it would also make sense to me, that someone who wants to create his clan on both realms would do it the same day, before 07-22

but to top it all, I created the account 07-25. I can't change the password anymore and he took his bot off the channel clan kona
