Q u o t e:

Your ideas still suck though.

Now that's just not true. Snake said that D2 is the best game that Blizz has, which is completely correct.

However, the best way to get rid of gold-selling spam is and has always been for the players to stop buying stuff off them.

Snake, there is no way Blizzard will grant banning power to anyone within the community.
If you'll recall when ruststorm first came out, many hackers called "unfair banning".
Can you imagine the flood of threads, emails, phonecalls, etc... *shudders*

Also, they have tried for over a decade to remove bots. It's obivous they can't so they've installed tools for us to combat. Check the recent patch notes for the latest additions.

I have other names for her but for people to know who she is then a generic term will suffice. If I went around calling her a "horror-show satanic cheese-doodle" readers might not not grasp what I was talking about despite the description being more accurate.

No way! He's my cute and fuzzy squashy beast!

Toldford is right, neither Blizz nor any other developer can stop people from cheating. I think the tools Blizz gave us are pretty awful though. If I could wish for another patch, I'd love to see the resolution fixed for widescreen and more importantly, a text message box that didn't cover the entire screen. WoW-style would be just fine.

Most people just use maphack which really isn't that bad it doesn't negatively affect most people its not game breaking. What the real problem is the botters who don't even play they just have a bot doing mf runs for them over and over and over again. And they log into there accounts the next day and have an inventory full of HRs and Godly items. That is game breaking.

Q u o t e:
You didn't notice the other forum topics this guy's been in? He's just a troll,
i disagree. i think slay is intelligent, witty, and sarcastic. probably just sickened when someone comes here and spews old ideas that have been talked about FOREVER!
spelling errors and poor grammer are just a primer to get slay going.

Toldford, you have always been a voice of reason on these boards, however this is where you err, they DON'T recall.
however keep the advice coming, it may sink in... someday;)

Q u o t e:

it's becoming clear that the problem is "online".
there is inherent problems with pc gaming that are forcing game developers to move toward consoles.
need proof? take note of the reduced shelf space dedicated to pc games at your favorite store.
if pc gaming is to survive it needs to revert to single player focus.
write it, sell it. write expansion/sequel, sell it and be done. no promise of incorruptible online multiplayer support.
i personally would rather see this than have no more pc games at all. (hate console gaming)

Q u o t e:
You're a tad disturbed, aren't you?
it's the "sane" ones you have to worry about.

PC game shelf space is reducing because of digital releases and cloud tech not because of developers moving towards consoles.
