When the update to the new servers went through my current ladder character KLassAct was replaced with my character from last ladder of the same name. My current character was a level 96 sorc on ladder and now I can't join any ladder games. What can I do to get the proper character restored?
All that was done is they copied the current character info over to the new test realm. Nothing was done that would cause the data to change.
The character currently on USEast was created 2011-12-24. I see a steady stream of backups for it from that date to present. There was not a new character created after the last ladder reset, which would have had to be done in order to be on the new ladder.
I ask that you please take a closer look at the backups on my characters then. I remade KLassAct on may 2nd when ladder reset and rushed her to hell within 10 hours. there is significant gear differences along with the fact that if you look at prior to reset the char was a level 98 and now is only a 96. unless there is a way to lose levels that doesn't seem possible. thanks in advance for digging a little deeper. as an avid player i appreciate everything that blizzard does and just want to have my char returned to what should be her current ladder rank. sincerely, KLass

I am also ranked 236 currently on the expansion ladder with KLassAct. Please restore my character so I can continue to enjoy my Diablo 2 experience.
You're right, there was a transition between the old and new one on 5/2/2012. The fact you rushed it right away made it look like it never happened as the backup sizes never changed, which is how I can tell a new character from an old one.
In any case, I think I've got the one you want back on there now so give it a try.
