Bruegel ,

I can't tell you why as it's not recorded anywhere I can see it, but it's going to last another 2 weeks, only on USEast.

The most common cause is connecting with an illegal cd-key. That will cause an automatic immediate 2 week IP restriction.

I bought a digital copy of d2 about 2-3 weeks ago. Turns out my room mate wanted to play with me and downloaded an illegal copy and tried to connect to bnet. Any chance I can appeal the ban.

Bruegel ,

There is no appeal process for automatic restrictions like this. It will be gone in 2 weeks or you could just change your IP address and be careful not to use the illegal key again. You need to reinstall the games with the new keys you bought if you haven't already.
