I have been playing Diablo II and its expansion since they were first released and I constantly find myself returning to and playing Diablo II for great lengths of time. To make my experience that much more challenging I have began to play hardcore characters offline in single player mode. However, in single player mode I do not have access to what are ladder only runewords, and I feel that the addition of these runewords to offline single player content would make my experience playing all that more exciting since it would allow me to explore further options. I was wondering if you could release a small patch enabling such a feature?

Time and time again Blizzard has shown that they don't give a **** about people who don't play online only. If you want to enjoy the full game offline I suggest you look into the Plugy mod. Made from someone that understands how neglectful Blizzard is to offline single player players.

Every now and then when I'm bored I get on and look around these forums. Not sure why as I haven't seen any single player support from Blizzard in years. I don't expect anything from them either since they've already confirmed that I won't be purchasing Diablo 3 by not having an offline single player mode...

I've implemented this feature and a lot more features into a mod I made last year for Single Player since Blizzard apparently forgot about us.

Diablo was primarily a single player game, with multiplayer features. On top of that Blizzard changed Diablo 3 too much from what it was traditionally, so after 8+ years of waiting I also won't be buying it.

If you are only playing single player, get the runeword mod. it's a simple solution that requires about 4 minutes of your time.

Alternatively, you can get an mpq editor and do it yourself. Takes about 10 minutes.

Either way, there is no real reason for blizz to do it. It's called incentive to play ladder. If you don't want to do it, they don't have to cater to you. (and yes i know how horrid the realms are. i think my accounts should be expired now...after many years of keeping them active).

I've made RWM for different versions of D2 (Specifically 1.09 and later).

My mod would take less than 4 minutes to install :), extract the zip and replace the files (For quickest install).

You could also copy/paste your D2 folder and use the copy for the mod.
