New Features

  • Ignoring players is now saved between sessions of the game. All ignores are now written out to disk (file: 'ignorelist'). This feature can be toggled by issuing the command '/ignorepersist'.
  • Users can now filter messages based on content by issuing the command '/filtermsg <content>'. To unfilter content issue the command '/unfiltermsg <content>'. (The maximum length of a filter pattern is 128 characters)
  • Users can now set their home channel by issuing a new Battle.net chat command '/home <channel name>' while in the Battle.net chat interface.
  • Users can return to their home channel at any time by issuing the command '/home' while in the Battle.net chat interface.

    Major Bugs

  • Fixed a known dupe method.
  • Fixed another issue where players were able to stack auras in an unintended way.

    Minor Bugs

  • Fixed a bug where Mercenaries wouldn't have multiple auras active when they should have.
  • Fixed an issue where players could create games prefixed with color codes.
  • Potentially fixed an issue where players would be disconnected when watching the cinematics when in a Battle.net game.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would crash when running in windowed mode with sound disabled and the game tried to play a cinematic.

    I don't see any mention anywhere about Uber Tristram. Besides, getting experience from Mephisto's summons was a glitch. They're not bringing it back, no matter how many times people demand it just so they can sit back and level up to 90 in an hour without any actual work.

  • So how does this help in game spam bots? Do i just have to type /filtermsg and their account name and have to do this each game or does it build a list of 1 million accounts?


    Battle.net Chat Reminder

    Battle.net provides a number of ways to manage in-game spam and communication from
    other players. Some of these commands are:

    /options ignorepublic (/o igpub)
    - Ignores messages in public chat channels from anyone who isn't on your
    friends list.

    /options unignorepublic (/o uigpub)
    - Reallows messages in public chat channels from anyone who isn't in your
    friends list.

    /options ignoreprivate (/o igpriv)
    - While in private chat channels you will not receive messages from anyone who
    isn't in your friends list.

    /options unignoreprivate (/o uigpriv)
    - Re-allows messages in private chat channels from anyone who isn't in your
    friends list.

    /options ignorewhispers (/o igw)
    - Ignore whispers from anyone who isn't in your friends list.

    /options unignorewhispers (/o unigw)
    - Reallows whispers from all users.


    None of these are in game They are all for in channel

    apparently they fixed more than they proclaim... :)

    i've read reports that loader/bot doesn't work anymore...

    can anybody confirm the UT leveling?

    So, are you going to reset the ladder now so that all the people who used that dupe method get started over, along with people using bots? And a much better question, why wasn't this implemented BEFORE the reset. Everything salready been duped ladder already is back to bot central. Not really sure what this was suppose to do. Multiple Enigmas were made and duped day 1 of reset.

    I believe I mentioned while the angry mob had been chanting for the past month "RESET THE LADDER YESTERDAY! U PROMISED SEPT 25, SO RESET NAO!!!" that you probably wanted to keep things under wraps to maximize the damage potential amongst the crowd of cheaters and item sites. And so, thank you for ripping up some of the rotten floorboards and repairing some of the leaks in this old hulk. I, as well as many others appreciate the gesture.

    I do have a small gripe, however. In the future, be sure that the patch is available for download from the support site when you announce a patch because some of us can't get the autoloader program to work when we log in. My old beater I play this on runs WINE through Linux and I can't get the patch to work unless I download it off the net. This is a habit that the support site has it a few/several hours after you announce patches and it would be great if it were ready when you announced it.

    The dupe fix, as well as both aura related fixes were made active in a server-side update directly prior to the ladder reset during maintenance. On a side-note, it seems like the general response to the patch is incredibly positive. Enjoy the patch and see you in game!

    and yet pay sites and d2jsp had high runes for sale 6 hours after the reset. Dupe fix apparently was not fixed or did not fix the one they use.

    what about the windows 7 compatibility issues?...i still cant play it on my new come i bought for d3! and iv already tried switchin everything as far as makin d2 work goes =[

    what exactly is the prob? i had very hard lag when playing d2 on win7, i could fix that though!
