Please make Ladder only Rune Words available in Single Player. I've been playing Diablo since Classic came out all those years ago. I used to play every ladder, but got to the point to where I can't stand all the botting, modding, hacking, cheating, SPAM BOTS, etc.
This is just a personal preference and is not an attack on those that still play D2 online and don't mind all the non-legit play.
I saw the latest ladder reset message and it doesn't look like there's going to be a new patch to the game since D3 is getting closer to being released.
I think it would be a good idea to unlock the ladder rune words/items for single player at this point.
Optix, there are a number of us who feel the same way as you do about the "ladder only" content, but I highly doubt it will come to fruition. Other than the "Race to 99" or "the economy" (pretty much all the ladder guys care about since they get bored more quickly with respec).
For now, you can take Photek's advice and get a mod that allows you to have ladder content in SP and Open B.net. Maybe get some of the guys who are still active on your f-list to do a TCP/IP multiplayer with said mod.

only noobs wants all ladder runewords on NL.. it's like this for a reason. you can't have EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME. there's an ADVANTAGE to playing the ladder race. take it or leave it.
but oh noes? your precious items you've been SAVING UP? ... you'll find them again.
