1 year won by a wide margin for length of time between resets. That's what we're planning to do unless everyone wants to change their mind. I'm willing to hold another poll, or, alternatively just say we cut it down the middle and do a reset every 9 months.

My vote was and still is 6 months. However, comma, semicolon, I am not in favor of "re-polling" on a decision :(

Also, why am I having to put in my birth date now every time I get on? Or does it just do this when it isn't saved as a cookie?

I'd be okay with frequent resets if they just made ladder content available on non-ladder. This game is 10 years old, has little support, and D3 is coming out in the next year or 2 so why can't this happen? You'd make a lot of the remaining players happy. I don't like the racing aspect of ladder, but it seems some people do so why not choose a solution that favors everyone?

If ladder-only content remains on ladder then I will continue to vote 1-year+ ladder seasons.

Aww, this season already seems to be quite stale, was so looking forward to a reset soon. =(

Agreed! Lets just scrap the race and that should fix some of the botting problems.

if non ladder= all content , I will never ask for a reset again..

Purely speculation on my part but I think most of the people botting has very little to do with the ranking system and more to do with the ease of getting gear with out having to put any effort into it, especially when you consider bots are just as rampant on non-ladder as ladder.

With that said, I'm not sure the person you quoted was saying to completely get rid of the race altogether, just that it would be nice to do away with ladder-only runewords and things of that nature and just make them available on both Ladder and Non-Ladder. Of course I could be wrong! :P

Im seriously sad to hear that it won.

I started playing in late january i think it was, now, I got every item I need (okay, not some sick rares...) I've found several hrs due to the higher drop rate introduced in 1.13.

I have a soon 97 paladin, not even aiming for a high level.

Several other high leveled chars (meaning 94 and up)

Im just waiting for a reset, cus theres just nothing to do.

A reset makes it fun to play, gives us a challenge and since d3 should come out within 2 years, I think 6 month resets will give this game it's last blast before total annihilation.

And btw, I'm going HC for the next reset. =)

actually right now would be the ideal time to reset with the new Diablo 3 coming out at the end of the year, that way we got about 9 months to play around on a new ladder and then the new d3 will come out and people can transition from new Diablo 3 or stay and play at about the same time the new ladder reset would happen

anyone else agree?

9 months would be perfect, It would be in time to play during summer once school is out. Please set up a new pole for people to vote, not many knew about first one, a re-vote is only fair.

I think 6 months would be better, but I agree, we definitely need a re-vote. I don't think enough people knew about the first poll

12th months of ladder is much to long most of ppl stop playing after ~6 - 8 months ofc u can finde some of the ppl playint 2 or even 10 years ladder :p

make 1 more time pole and give anouncmet @ bn loging screen

cuz 349 votes means nothing when @ each core realm u got 1000 ranked places and milion of ppl whos out of the rank :p

if u make it 1 more time i will spam link to all of my friends and they will do it to so then we can say it was democratic decysion :p

ya just another pole so everyone can vote - give it a week to collect enough votes and see what the community wants.

"alternatively just say we cut it down the middle and do a reset every 9 months"

this is a fantastic idea, i think the most frustrating part is just sitting around wondering if/when there will be a new ladder, if theres a set in stone time table that would be ideal. Plus 1 year is just way too long, u get max lvl characters in a matter of days and then sit twiddling your thumbs for months waiting for a new reset.

Thanks for the information, your presence here is highly appreciated. ;)

This is just me, but the only time I'll be able to play a reset this year will be in September or early October. A 9-month reset will catch me mid-semester, so I won't be able to spend time on a ladder reset. I'll stick with my 1-year vote.

Also, I'm one of those that would pretty much stop caring about resets altogether if all content was available non-ladder. Just saying.

under 400 people got to vote last time, let everyone have a voice, it's the fairest.
