Absolutely, there are Taxi bots (rush through Normal) as well as Baal bots. Oh and spammers galore :)

What happens when you are hostile to them? Do they leave? Spammers might not, but for people rushing I could see it. This brings up an interesting idea. What if there was bots that got rid of bots?
I haven't played D2 in awhile so I'm kind of out of the loop so I may be completely wrong about everything.

hmmm, I don't think many people would have a good reason to go hostile on HC bots.
First of all, they often have topgear and would be hard to pk anyways.
Secondly those "helping bots" are often of one and the same clan, and you just don't want to mess with them too much :D
Thirdly, HC players accept the help all too well, with many people ripping at some point, and not wanting to waste too much time starting all over again, having kickass ench bots and rush bots really helps alot.
And I know this tweaks the playing fun of dia, but hey, I use them too sometimes, if I need to get a char quickly back to hell so I can join my mates around there.
Therefor ladder resets are great fun I think, as you are forced to "really" play the game.
However life is too short to do this for every character you want to make....over and over again.
Oh, we're all aware of them. But Battle.net should support public, pick-up gaming. The ability to make a private game doesn't absolve Blizzard of having to fix public games.
