Hi, I had my friend over to play D2 LoD. We each have different cd-keys and were playing in a single game together, passworded. We didnt switch games and didnt do anything that is mentioned to cause this temp 2minute to 12 hour ban. Can I please request a legitimate answer as to why this is occuring? I am a paladin and I use zeal...its the only spell I use yet so I am not spamming anything. Please let me know why exactly this is happening. Thank you.

Is anyone able to help on this topic please? Moderator's especially. I would like to know the reason for these temp bans...I am not joining multiple games, I only a legit copy of d2...if I dont then you blizzard sold me the bad cd-key. As far as I can tell I have the correct ports forwarded and I have removed all firewalls, yet I repeatedly get banned every few minutes for a 15 minute ban. Please moderators help me resolve this issue and I have seen the generic response you tend to give to people. Please take the time to read my post and investigate as to why this is occuring I would appreciate it very much. Thank you.

If you're being restricted often, something in your playstyle is probably causing it. I suggest you basically slow down. Do not join too many games over a short time span. Do not do things in a game that can cause a lot of screen lag such as casting certain spells over and over. Activities like these are what the servers monitor for as they are often used to try to exploit the game. We can't individually tailor the thresholds used by the servers on a per-user basis so as I said, try to change your playstyle in order to eliminate the restrictions. If you share the connection, have the other players join or leave at different times than you do.

I am using a paladin and the only spell I use is my standard attack "Zeal" I hold my let click button down when attacking, this is literally the only spell I cast, is that spell at all possibly the reason for the temp banning? Also, there has been an occasion where I havent logged into bnet all day, I literally login, go into a game, and I simply run to a vendor to check items and before I can even reach the vendor I am kicked from bnet. This is literally 5-10 seconds into the game. So i am not sure how any of the items you suggested could even be applied in that situation.
I am less than 1 minute into being logged into bnet, I only go into 1 game, the game loads for 10 seconds, I walk for 5 seconds and bam I am banned. A grand total of 30 seconds of being logged into bnet and I was temp banned, how is that even possible?
PS: also please I have seen the candid pre-written responses by moderators all over the forums, I have trouble shot this thing and am a working IT professional. I would like a genuine inquiry into this and not a generic response, please treat this as the unique situation it is and investigate it , I truly appreciate it. Thank you

There's really nothing that can be done on our end. It's working the same way it's been working for years. It's fully automated meaning there's no one watching you and intentionally restricting you. Something in your playstyle or connection is triggering what the server monitors for meaning it thinks you may be a bot or trying to exploit the game by intentionally inducing lag. Again, there is nothing that can be changed to individually eliminate your connection from being monitored.
If you're on a wireless connection, try running off a direct connection and bypass the router for a while instead. This will require an ethernet cable between your pc and the modem.
