Hey there
I bought new Warcraft 3 ROC and TFT just yesterday, and logged onto US west and made an account
However i didnt play any games or do anything, but today i get error "cannot log onto battlenet" on either US west, Europe OR asia gateways, and can only log onto US east...
Why is that?...
Temporary ban?
Any help please thanks

You are temporarily restricted. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you the exact reason as to why you have been restricted, or the amount of time you'll be restricted. The only thing we can show is the list of reasons for restrictions and give you a timeframe. Please note that restrictions cannot be removed or shortened, the only solution is to wait it out. Now, there are different types of restrictions. First, there's the Realm Down message which only appears on Diablo2. This type of restriction lasts between 2 minutes and 12 hours. Next, there's the Temporary Restriction and the Extended Restriction. Temporary restrictions last anywhere from 2 minutes to 72 hours and Extended Restrictions last between 3 days and 2 weeks. If you would like to find out what type of restriction it is, send an e-mail to support@blizzard.com. Please note, it will take an employee 2-3 business days to respond to you.

haha wow i do not know how the temp restriction works... but that is a real put off to new customers...
I didnt even play one game... logged on for 10 min and i get a temp restriction.
banned for no apparent reason
and only because i changed from playing at my house to playing at my friends house on the same computer...
just great.

The IP address you're posting from was recently used to violate the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement - http://www.battle.net/tou.shtml. The most common cause for this is connecting to Battle.net with an invalid CD-Key, followed by spamming the chat channels, use of flood or load bots, harassing another user, and/or the use of a third party program(s).
The IP address has warranted a lengthy restriction and will not be able to access Battle.net (Lordaeron) for another 12 days from now.

Hi there
Ok i just read through the terms of Use again...
and no my cd keys are valid they have been checked by blizzard support, they said there is no problem with my key.
no i have not used any 3rd party software
or spam chat... or anything that violates the TOU infact
just because i havent even had the chance to reach the log in page of battle.net using this IP address.
I can connect to US west at my house, but
On my first attempt to connect to battle net at my mates house i was given the error "unable to connect to battle.net.
I have no spyware or any program that suggests hacking on my pc therefore i do not see how i can be banned from hacking. Again i havent even had the chance to log onto my account nor connect to US west on this IP address.
Also this doesnt explain why i cannot connect to Europe or Asia gateways on this IP address.
