I just rediscovered a $50 Target gift card in my wallet, and I'm debating whether I should buy Starcraft 2. As I'm operating under the assumption that most, if not all of you, have already bought this game, I'd like your opinions. Should I get it right away? Do you think I should wait for a while, see if i can get it as some sort of bundle with the expansions I assume will follow? Should I just forget about it and wait for Dragon Age 2?

Q u o t e: We know little about DA2, and what we do know suggests it is going to be a very different game from the first. Bioware is going in a new direction with it, they are even taking the art in a direction ( Check out the new Qunari http://bioware.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/da2_races.jpg ) . So it's not like if you enjoyed DA1 you will like DA2 too. It's a game to take a wait and see approach with IMO.
You make a good point, but here's the thing: BIOWARE IS THE @!@%. Seriously, I have NEVER bought a game from BioWare that wasn't worth it's weight in gold. I know that sounds fanboyish, but really, as far as I'm aware, BioWare has an excellent track record.

I'm kind of surprised at all the negative reviews. My only gripes are the balance issues with Terran, but other than that the game is awesome. Not a big fan of the campaign direction (too RPGish in the mission goals, very few of the good ol' "small base versus big base" levels).
To say that it's not worth the 60 bucks is a little rediculous though for any RTS fan, IMO.
Your sound card works perfectly.

I don't have it yet. I won't be getting it until one, I have a computer capable of running it at playable speeds, and two, they radically change the aforementioned policies with regards to custom content. The first one isn't likely to happen for several years, and I can only hope the second one doesn't take that long.
