At the moment im trying to set up a CustomKeys.txt for Warcraft 3, including Buttonpos for each hotkey.
This works in most of the cases, but a few Buttonpos I defined seem to be simply ignored.
I can exclude the possibility I assigned multiple hotkeys to the same Buttonpos since there is no Button shown at the defined Buttonpos at all.
Here's an extract of my CustomKeys.txt including all build hotkeys, on which the problem occurs:
Q u o t e: //build (generic)
Well i solved the problem.
Since it worked when i used a tool to change my hotkeys earlier, i used the tool again to see what it does differently. Well it added a new line to my build hotkeys:
Q u o t e: //build (human)
I guess [CmdBuildHuman] was replaced in some patch.
Can someone give me a link to all commands available in the CustomKeys.txt? I think there are also entries to change the hotkeys to buy items, but they dont appear in the CustomKeySample.txt.
Oh, sorry, is that the 'New cfg files default to Dota compatible' option found in Options>Program Settings>Warkeys Behavior? Why is it buried in options menu? Why is it on by default? As if regular WC3 is a custom mod for DotA, not the other way around.
And why, why doesn't it ask right when you start it, in big red letters: "Do you want customkeys.txt compatible to DotA? Yes/No"
Go to Warkeys Help>Tutorial and just check out the images. All but one are displaying DotA. Yes, I read the tutorial - so what, call me a terrorist for that - and I concluded that Warkeys is meant for DotA players only. Who wouldn't?
Look at the last 5 updates at:
They all regard what?
You can now understand why I thought (and still think) Warkeys is not meant for standard WC3 players, it's meant for DotA. If you like it, you're free to do so. I have tried using it, and I didn't like it. Again, the OP did not ask for a program; had he, I would have linked to Warkeys site, regardless of my opinion on it.
Instead of flaming me, try being helpful to the next confused dude posting on WGDF. But, oh yeah, you displayed how helpful you are right here, in this thread.
warkeys was initially designed for dota, rofl
and it works PERFECT for "regular" war3. No errors
