This is a list of interface improvements which, as I think, would help the game a lot.
1) Shared stash: Even if large stashes overload the servers, only one extra stash screen per account shouldn't cause problems.
2) Gambling: It's isnt very fun to open-close the gamble screen searching for a particular item type. It would be better if (when finally found) the item didn't disappear from the merchant after purchuasing and was replaced by the item of the same base type.
3) Statistics: It would be nice to be able to open a screen showing all the bonuses the character currently has: total MF, leech, DR and so on.
4) Characteristics: When hovering over an attribute one should see the base stat value + the value granted by items.
5) Game screen: Three difficulty tabs would help much to find games of the desired difficulty level.

1) Yes please!
2) Yes, or else they could add a refresh button to the gambling screen.
3) Would be an awesome feature but I don't think you'll ever find the screen real estate for that unless you do away with the 640x480 resolution from the game completely. Or maybe if the stat screen scrolled.
4) Yeah that would be nice. I hate when I wear gear that requires its own strength bonus to wear and I don't realize it, then I die and can't put it back on.
5) YES! I would love to be able to see norm and nm games after defeating nm baal.

I think the best way to do this (which is unfortunately outside the scope of the interface of Diablo 2) would be to simply list every base item and let you gamble as many of whatever as you have gold for. This of course isn't feasible with Diablo's current item setup (showing full pictures of every item - you definitely couldn't fit everything in a screen!), and therefore something for, say, Diablo 3.
