I have a new computer and i bought the Starcraft Anthology from the online Blizzard Store. With a new computer i thought i had the minimal system requirements as i can run Crysis on full... I was wrong
So after having a long discussion with Blizzard Tech Support, my computer is "too new" to play Starcraft. The lowest resolution settings my HD Monitor can do is 800*600 and Starcraft "requires" 640/480. When playing the game my minerals/gas/food are off the screen and not visible along with the bottom of the screen as well. According to blizzard billing department "The game is still playable" even though gas/minerals/food are not visible and i was denied a refund.
Windows 95/98/NT
Pentium 90 or higher
16 MB RAM
DirectX-Compatible SVGA Video Card
Microsoft-Compatible Mouse
Double-Speed CD-ROM
(Quad Speed for Cinematics)
The resolution was omitted because (paraphrasing what Tech support said) Starcraft is a 10+ year old game and the resolution was minimal in the first place.
Honestly I do not care for the 14.99 +tax refund, Please add 640*480 Resolution to the system requirements to avoid further confusion.

Did you bother to look for the demo to download and see if it would run before you bought? It has to still be available somewhere. Your only hope to get this to display correctly is to play with your monitor's refresh rate in your display settings. I've had this work for a couple of older games. By the way, it does run on my wide screen monitor although it is somewhat stretched to fit.
