(note this problem refers to broodwar and not SC2) When I try to access battlenet I am told I need an update. I click the update button and the update bar fills up instantly. I am then told "The update was successful, Starcraft will now restart."
The problem is, starcraft doesnt restart. Instead I get a notepad file on my desktop saved as "BnetLog" that says this:
3/7 15:14:42.265 Connecting to Battle.net...
3/7 15:14:42.453 Trying to load ws2_32.dll
3/7 15:14:42.453 querying gateway
3/7 15:14:42.500 searching for the fastest server
3/7 15:14:42.531 connected to server
3/7 15:14:42.562 Connected to server 220.127.116.11
3/7 15:14:42.562 Validating ID
3/7 15:14:42.640 requesting latest version
3/7 15:14:43.312 downloading upgrade
3/7 15:16:19.843 Disconnecting from server
3/7 15:16:19.843 Could not connect to Battle.net
Naturally I tried again, and was met with the same situation.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
I have checked my firewall through the following process:
Start----control panel----windows firewall-----exceptions tab-------Starcraft is selected
I feel like I must be overlooking something.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
