What is the point of having opt-in if there are so many blizzcon attendees that they will fill atleast the first 2 phases. Also, doesn't the 08 blizzcon count as well? 2 blizzcon worth of keys should fill all the phases.

I hope I get into the Beta, because I don't want to wait for "The release" of Starcraft II, to play the dang game. :(

Because Blizz needs to first test it out on specific system specs in order to get the most data for testing. And the easiest way to get those system specs is through the opt in system.

Because waves of 500 every 2 weeks for god knows how long and they think they will get all the blizzcon attendees and twitter contest winners and stuff lulz

It probably wont be 500 people. More like 2-5k every phase. Not everyone plays 24h.

I would play 24/7 if I wanted to. xD
And I like to do that, a lot.

Some invites are sent to opt-ins because of system specs and some are sent randomly to opt-ins
Your chances are slimmer as an opt-in but they aren't zero

I have two WoW accounts on mine. One has been around since dec 04, shortly after release. I don't think it increases my chances.

I attended blizzcon but let a friend have the key that day.
