Hi guys. I think i messed up when on downloading SC from my battle.net account. when it asked me to choose a path, im pretty sure i chose an invalid one. Now whenever i try to Dl it an error message pops up saying it wont install, and i should go back to my account and try again. i have a feeling i messed up with the path because i tryed a different one with diablo and it worked fine. The problem is it wont let me go back and change the path i want it to go to so everytime i try and get it, the same error pops up. I just upgraded to windows 7, maybe it has a problem with SC idk, can anyone help me out?
this is the error message i get "There was a problem authenticating your download, please go to http://www.blizzard.com/account to start a new download. and im almost certain its because i chose the wrong path now, so i really need to figure out how to change it to the right one.
If you can use your registry editor, you can delete the key holding that pathname and it will ask again the next time you run the downloader.
The key you want to get rid of is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Downloader
It will contain one or more keys of its own with long names made up of letters and numbers. You'll have one for each game you've tried to download this way. Delete the main folder or look in each one to find out which one is for StarCraft and delete that one only.
Be careful when editing the registry. You can make things much worse if you don't know what you're doing in there.
