When I have to type in any game name to join in the custom games screen it says the "Game can not be found". Any other games work. I normally have to have the host spam change the name in order for me to get in. Im not clicking "Join Game" before the games actually created or anything. This problem just started occuring in the past 2-3 months. Its also 90% of games being hosted. Wether its private or a friends game being hosted, wont let me join.
Any information or ideas that would fix this problem please let me know. I have searched and searched and found nothing that has worked.
Thanks and hope to hear a working response soon.

Hey i am having the problem too, i can only join sometimes but 90% give or take a few percent, says the Game Does Not Exist. Even if am creating my own game, it is doing the same thing and telling me it doesnt exist. So i am having problems joining games, and creating my own.

The bncache.dat file just holds things like, custom game join filters, ladder joining options, previous custom game lists, nothing really important. It will be recreated upon your next login. If you'd feel safer, you can just rename it to bncache.old.

Not that I know of, its just me. It just started doing it out of nowhere. Nothing has changed network wise or computer wise. Not even a simple setting to my knowledge.
I basically have to wait to see the game on the list in order to join. Even when I "know" the game exists. Its quite frusterating as well!

There can be issues joining games prior to their appearance on the list. Once it appears do you still have an issue if you try to type the name of the game?
I have an issue unless I simply "click" on the name and select join game. If I have to type in any part of it I get a "game does not exist" message. Even if I see it on the list then type it in, I get the same thing.

I have downloaded and reinstalled multiple times. I download from the virtual download area on battle.net account.
Nothing seems to be working. Ive tried running different scans to see if any major files are corrupt on my computer and nothings showing up. I also tried on a laptop on the same network and it works for that computer.
I put in a different harddrive on this computer that doesnt work. With same OS and downloaded and tried that as well, and nothing.
So I'm starting to think its a configuration of somesort thats stopping this. Just can't seem to figure it out.

There's really nothing that would cause this. Since you can join the games when clicking on it, you should be able to join it while typing it in. Check your filters, make sure there aren't any, I suppose.

I Have the exact same problem as you and i also posted on forum but your getting more feed back then me. deleteing files didnt work for me and by the fact that it works for me typing the game when my friend hosted custom with *listchecker* but on the other hand when they host it with bot aka *ghost ++* program i can see it on the list but i cant type the game name to join i had my friend kept renaming it inorder for me to find it and its becoming a really big of a hassle because they have to wait for like 5mins for me to join it.
If anyone can solve this problem please HELP as in also like this person it happens out of nowhere i just suddenly cant type in game names to join. PLEASE HELP!! P.S most of the games i can not type game name are ANY GAME that is hosted with bots *AKA GHost++* so i dont think its the maps and to add in i i have 2 desktop and one laptop that has the same problem. my desktop i just got it back recently from formating so i just installed wc3 two days ago. but on my laptop it been there for a year and both of them are having the same problem i dont think reinstalling would help

Sixen im guessing hes having the same problem as i am. its not the map its the creator that uses Ghost++ to host but the only question is why is it only happening to me and not other people because the can join it easily by typing the game name
I found the problem for the Frozen Throne / Battleships Crossfire Mod
I am running Windows Vista on both PC's, and my bro at the other house was running Windows XP Home.
All I did was download the Crossfire map manually, and then right clicked on the file, click Security TAB, and then gave full access to the Users group. Afterwards I could load the map for LAN. Also the BattleNet maps hosted by others, didn't boot me when I joined.
Does Blizzard have any recommended security permission settings?
By the way I still couldn't join some maps.. but I can get to the one I want. :)
Can you explain it alittle more in details please because my desktop is windows XP and my laptop is Vista so how do i change the setting or how do i fix it thank you.i Try to edit the way you said but i already have that file in my wc3 so i didnt redownload it but i gave access to all already and it still doesnt work...
