Hello, i recently bought a new computer, i have installed wc3 and expansion correctly but when i try to log on to battlenet i cant come in.
"You may be trying to connect to an invalid battle.net server. If you are using a modem, you may need to manually connect to internet before connection to Battle.net"
I am not using a modem and not a router, it guess it is a DNS.
I also tryed running a tracert that i found on this forum on another support thread, when i try to do that it just says " access denied "
I am playing on northrend and i did type that when i tryed the tracert.
The game worked perfectly fine on my old comp, and i had the same connection on that one, though i have win 7 instead of xp now, and i dont know if that makes any difference.
I also tryed turning of antivirus and windows firewall. Nothing have worked this far.
Would appricuate if you could help me figure this out.
You might wanna know that i can get in on all ather servers but northrend, US east and west works, and asia as well.
I am using a valid cd-key, no1 else use it, no third party programs and i have never been doing any kind of spam.
Only thing i can think of right now (though i doubt it could have anything to do with this) is that i had trouble installing because my cd was not working, so i tryed installing without success a couple of times before i borrowed a new cd from a friend, i still used my cd-key though.

OMG, that error means i am restricted ? and u cant tell me the reason :S i guess i just have to wait then ?
Dont think i will even bothering messaging blizzard about it since it takes a few days and they wont revoke it anyway, or will they ?

You are temporarily restricted. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you the exact reason as to why you have been restricted, or the amount of time you'll be restricted. The only thing we can show is the list of reasons for restrictions and give you a timeframe. Please note that restrictions cannot be removed or shortened, the only solution is to wait it out. You can view the thread below for more information about restrictions:
Now, there are different types of restrictions. First, there's the Realm Down message which only appears on Diablo2. This type of restriction lasts between 2 minutes and 12 hours. Next, there's the Temporary Restriction and the Extended Restriction. Temporary restrictions last anywhere from 2 minutes to 72 hours and Extended Restrictions last between 3 days and 2 weeks. If you would like to find out what type of restriction it is, send an e-mail to email@example.com. Please note, it will take an employee 2-3 business days to respond to you.

The IP address last used by this account to connect to Europe (Northrend) is currently restricted for about 1 week still. Restrictions of this length are typically imposed when an invalid cd-key is used to connect. Unfortunately, there's no way to get the exact cause, nor can it be removed before it's run its course.
Well i am a bit confused and dissapointed, i mean i have bought and played this game for years, it just sounds unbelieveable that all of a sudden my cd-keys is invalid ? I even have the asks with the cd-keys infront of me (not saved in any text document so there is no chance there is more ppl using them :S
