That just happened to me by a spoofer named "ReVs", he joined my game and told me "how is this for a hack?" then spammed the chat saying "ReVs has joined the game" and then he said i disconnected...which I did.

The previous game which he was in was a "Phantom" UMS game, and he told me my address, leading me to believe he's using Oblivion. I only got the screenshot of him disconnecting me, not my address.

Here's the link to it from PhotoBucket... it's in horrible quality because its obviously a screenshot

X-/. The log on information is stored on the Battle.net servers not your computer. Reinstalling was probably unnecessary. Have you actually tried just waiting 30 minutes before reinstalling? Chances are B.net just thought you were still logged in and was holding the connection open for 5-10 minutes or so.

Something like this happened today to someone else who plays in my house. Thing is, he said 'Blizzard (r) Entertainment has caught you using third party programs. You are now permanently banned' then did the mass join thing and spammed us out. My clan bots dropped too, which really screwed up a game we were going to set up >.>

Anyway.. We immediately emailed Blizzard about being IP banned for hacking when we werent hacking, and we immediately got an email back saying they dont ban IP's and to try to log in. We were back online in about two minutes

They don't ban IPs manually but they do ban automatically for flooding. And you flood the /stats request to Battle.net when someone joins your game 100 times. This phenomenon is called "astat flood". The best thing you can do is get protection...
