Although I have no intent on transferring items from one character to another, how is it done? Do you make a game, wait 10 minutes, then leave, get your other character, join the empty game, and then get the item?

Only takes 5 minutes, but that's the idea.

I lol'd because you presented transferring of items like it's a bannable offense or something. There's obviously nothing wrong with transferring or trading items if only because there are low level sets. Do you think low level sets exist for the one in a billion player that finds every piece of that set while it's still useful?
And if you're talking only about muling things off while maintaining trading is okay, how would you ever trade for a low level set for your low level characters? You can't trade for it and then transfer it to your low level guy. And you sure won't need it by the time you have enough stuff to trade with on the guy that once was low level.
And how is transferring items "unfair" to you? If you choose to play no-twink, great for you. I sometimes play no-twink as well, for a different kind of challenge and fun. Those players that do transfer items aren't gaining any advantage over you by playing in such a way; PVM is played for your own benefit.
Q u o t e: Or, you could just make a pssword protected game with a one player limit, and do it then.
And then commit suicide when you are hit by the "game is full" bug and cry as you are unable to join and then the game vanishes because nobody has been in it for a while.
As for trading I would like to see the stash get some kind of second tab which is universal to all characters.
