Well heres the whole background to the story. Basically my WoW account's been hacked and Blizzard hasn't really helped me. I have to say this hacker is very skilled because he was able to change my password, the e-mail address the account is binded to AND my e-mail address account. He went into my e-mail and confirmed the password change and deleted the confirmation e-mail. However he left an e-mail saying the password change was successful which helped me find out my WoW account was hacked in the first place.

I e-mailed Blizzard over and over. Everytime I tried to call the 1-800 hotline it was always busy. But lucky enough a GM from blizzard actually wanted to help me. We discussed through e-mail and soon enough he asked me for my full address and phone number so that we could arrange a way to talk so I can finally retrieve my account. After e-mailing him the details he never e-mailed me back and I never recieved a call from him. I just lost all hope.

I even checked my only level 80 character on the WoW armory and he's gone. Possibly he got a name change or even that new option to get the whole appearance changed which could make it impossible to find him. However my level 70 and 60 are still on the armory and also a few characters I made just for fun. I even have all the screenshots I took from the game. But these are of no use in helping me retrieve my account.

The only option is for Blizzard to make an option in the world of Warcraft website to be able to retrieve an account through the use of CD key and through that I can get my account back because I still have my accounts WoTLK CD key. Oh and the things I would do to that hacker if I ever found out who he or even she is. It makes me really sad when I think my situation through, considering all the time and money spent. I guess i'll be checking the WoW website once in a while in hopes that Blizzard has added the option to use the accounts current CD key to retrieve it.

But until then, WoW... It's Over.

Hello Justinxp

These issues usually occur when someone gets a keylogger on their computer. You will need to deal witht he Billing depratment to recover the aco**!@ and then the GM department to regain your stuff but you want to make sure the keylogger is off your system otherwise you will be comprimised again.

To start, please make sure that you have the latest security updates and patches for your operating system. There are many security updates that can prevent viruses and similar programs from gaining access to your system.
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Please run a full virus scan with updated definitions, preferably with 2 or more anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. You may have run anti-virus scans previously, but it is possible that the anti-virus program you have does not have information about the virus or trojan that may be could potentially be causing a problem.

For additional information and links to some anti-virus software please visit our Computer Security page:
http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/21118

Note: Some virus scanners may require that other scanners are removed prior to operating correctly. Please make sure to download the latest updates and definitions for any security program before running a scan.

Please Note: it is not unheard of for keyloggers to also grab information about an email address. You may want to consider changing your password for your email account or changing the email you use for World of Warcraft.

After you are sure your system is clean please contact the billing department, if you run into a busy signal please keep trying.

Billing representatives are on hand to take your call Monday through Friday between 8am and 8pm Pacific Time, at 1-800-59-BLIZZARD (800-592-5499). Customers in Australia should call 1-800-041-378. Our Billing team will be happy to assist you with any billing related questions. We look forward to helping you get this resolved. You may also contact them via email at Billing@Blizzard.com

*NOTE: For security purposes, Billing & Account Services cannot discuss or modify accounts via email.

Technical support needs your feedback. Please take the time to fill out a survey using the link below and tell me how I am doing:
