Okay so when I installed starcraft after about a year of not playing I was unable to enter battle.net. For some reason every time I go on UsEast or any other realm it kicks me off. So I decided to register my CdKey to battle.net and install my game from there. Then I realized that the game was outdated so I downloaded the patch but it would not install. I researched about what was going on and I changed my ports, shut down all software and hardware firewalls and it still would not connect. I don't think my cd key is disabled because I was able to register it but it keeps kicking me off at accessing account.
When I look at my battlelog this is what it says
7/1 14:57:39.905 Connecting to Battle.net...
7/1 14:57:39.969 Trying to load ws2_32.dll

can I PLEASE get some help?
Your connection has been temporarily restricted from Battle.net. This restriction is realm-specific and can last up to 2 weeks.
It can happen for any of the following reasons:
- Using an invalid CD key
- Rapidly connecting and disconnecting to Battle.net
- Creating or joining numerous games within a short time period such as "Magic finding" or "Baal runs"
- By the use of "add-on programs"
- Chat channel abuse
- Failed login attempts
- In game latency caused by excessive spell effects
We are unable to lift these restrictions early or tell exactly why the restriction was placed on your connection.
I have the same EXACT problem except that I haven't played in years so I dunno why it's still restricted. I also don't think the account is banned because I heard that it has a big pop up that tells u that you're banned. Do you know if the restrictions can last more than a year? and on every server not just USWest.
