I was thinking about the threads about gore and stuffs like that and I remembered that some people still complainning because there is not enough of it.
I agree, there could be a lot more, BUT...

So I made a pic with all the "gore-before-carnage" (i.e. enviroment gore) and here it is:

There is only 9 SS with 10 "Gore"elements... but they are on the right way, I think.

For Act1 pretty good if you ask me. I hope we get more gore, mutilation and such stuff later in the game.

Act 1: everything ok, a bit unsettling here and there, but not often.
Act 2: still ok, getting more of this stuff. You start to see that Evil once again strikes for power.
Act 3: it's getting darker and darker with every footstep closer to the Act3 boss. Blood, Corpses, Bloody Pentragrams, Corpses on Sticks, Skeletons chained to walls...
Act 4: pure horror.


That would be nice.


/edit: wow bashiok is on a roll. Did a starbucks open up on the Blizzard campus?

act 4: deckard cain dies finally. i mean who can be scared when an old geezer like him survives for so long. he must die a gruesome death.

Um, I know it's not 100% related, but I got a question:

I think at the time Diablo III was announced I read an interview in which they said, that the devs actually watched horror movies to try to get a feeling for "dark colour" und "suspense". I think they mainly talked about the green tristram cathedral colour-setting and how colour can be used to creature a horror-feeling.

Was that true?
Did it help the devs with their work?

They probably have it decided somewhere that we'll be getting an acolyte of horadric lore sometime in the middle of the game. Someone that Deckard has been teaching and grooming to be his replacement when his time on Sanctuary has finally expired. Although, Deckard Cain could in fact be another Archangel, disguising himself as a human to fit in better. Wouldn't be the first time either side has done this sort of trickery.

But, not that this could happen, but he's the last living descendant of the Horadric Mages. Now, unless he went off, and procreated a child, there would be no more Horadrim...But this is all lore, it would be cool to see him die very gruesomely.

Maybe, Leah's his daughter? That could make her an acolyte of horadric lore.
