I seem to have an issue with opening up starcraft in general. I recently downloaded broodwar onto my new laptop. The first time I opened the application, I connected to bnet installed the newest patch and connected to a game no problem. When I left the game, however, the game locked up. The only way to exit the game is to use the task manager or hard reboot.

I have looked all over the forum and the web for solutions but I could not find an answer to my specific problem. I have tried several time to just open the application only to have it lock up on time after time.

I am running with Vista, the connection to bnet is no problem.

I have given up trying to reinstall as it only met me with more frustration.
