I just started up again, or at least I would like to. With the reset being announced there's little point in me leveling a char that's going to be booted off the ladder soon anyway. It would be nice to have at least a round-about date so I know how long I'll be on standby. I think it wasn't the best idea for them to announce a reset without giving any kind of date besides "as soon as the end of April" which is obviously here and won't happen. Looking back, the last 2 resets were announced with a date attached from the beginning. I wonder why they decided to do things this way.

By the way though, the forums have plenty of posts and threads with people demanding dates, I'm pretty sure one more thread isn't going to to make them say "Oh snap! Another thread asking, no DEMANDING a date has been made! We better get on that ASAP!"

No rest. No mercy. No matter what.

I started back about a month ago and play off and on so I do understand what you mean about not wanting to play until the patch because it feels like a waste of progress.

But blizzard will not give you a date and not everyone 'demands' one so don't speak for the community like it's a consensus(sp).
It'll be out when it's polished and I wouldn't have it any other way.
They aren't sitting around doing nothing, they prioritize. Just remember, they aren't making money off this extra patch. It's for the community.

Try taking a shower - go outside and into the public.

This increases your chances of getting a date exponentially.

You can run ... but you'll only die tired.

Q u o t e:

Am I the only one that remembers 1.10 and other stuff from the past?

I remember my Hybrid zon becoming useless.
I remember Bone spirit necros ruling PvP
I remember Hammerdins becoming the newest big thing
I hope my next memory of D2 is when you don't need a smiter and Hammerdin on ur roster to be "godly"

Q u o t e:

Er, you still don't need one.

I am talking about the release, not this kind of stuff. Don't open up a can of worms please.

oh, in that case.. yeah I remember waiting for it. I was pretty excited, but yeah no matter how many posts you guys post the release date is all ready set in stone, that date is, when ever blizzard is ready to put it out. :]

he's not really speaking for him, he's quoting him Bash has all ready spoken. I'm a big fan of all blizzard games, if you stick around long enough you learn things

one of them is the release date is all ways set to "when we're done"

I remember hundreds...no, thousands of people whining because Blizzard removed Pierce from affecting Guided Arrow. I sulked for a few hours on that knowledge, but I didn't constantly complain about it and demand that Blizzard reverse the change. But I also remember tons of items added and even getting a Zod rune from someone for 5 of the new Unique items to make my very first BotD within 3 days of the new patch.

Good times...good times.

Ulmo_Vala is not a troll, he just posts things with an interesting style.

Methinks you could be Gfrogben with a new account since you're, like, immediately trying to bash him.

So yeah, we're still working on the patch. It's coming along really well. We're getting there. I can't give an estimate or date, we're expecting there to be a good amount of testing required due to the types of changes being made. We want to take our time and put out a solid patch, and that means we don't have a release date right now.

Some exciting news - and it also may be some comfort - due to the types of changes we're making we will be offering the Diablo II 1.13 patch for testing and feedback on a test realm before its release. We'll have more information about how you'll be able to help test it in the coming weeks.
