I suggest the things that always stopped me from playing:

#1 - A way to farm items solo
#2 - Smoother Lag-free experience, no constant Drop-outs.

Make mana, rejuv and health pots stack in lots of 20, at least.

Inventory is one of the greater caveats of the Diablo series, and though great strides have indeed been made, if one keeps charms around for the nifty bonuses, a book of Town Portal, and the Horadric Cube for the extra storage space, even with a good-sized belt your little squares get gobbled up pretty quick by the items that haphazardly slam their way into your backpack.

If it's difficult to work this into the game, make a new container, like the scroll books, but instead an apothecary satchel, and have characters like Akara or Lysander (potion sellers, et al)
sell them for a tidy fee.

Seems most of the desired changes are pretty much saying "make it even harder for us poor"

-Remove teleport from enigma.

That would make any character capable of killing a hammerdin that needs enigma 100% screwed in pk

Just because hammerdins dont have nigma no more doesnt mean crap..u realize charge is way worse then teleing hammerdins right..

-Make hell creatures less immune to lightning/fire/cold I agree with, except sorcs can do hell up til act 3..i dont think hell was meant to be done alone..

-Buff necros..yes

-Buff Martial arts assassins..yes

-Nerf hammerdins..atleast a little..12K hammers is too much make max like 8K

-Standard of Heros ..Needs a use

-"Fix hellfire/meteor dropping games..no because it is like this to prevent a dupe method...remove it again and dupe method works again

-Fix duping..you can just give up..D3 is coming anyway (theres been countless dupe methods since patch 1.07..and still no fix)

-add stuff to singleplayer ...why..

Most bad suggestions...some good tho

My suggestions:

Fix charge glitch, not where they stop randomly or "lock" but fix it from skipping them across the screen..its unfair and you can't pk something that skips

Fix amazon dodge glitch...when rich amazons with charms from 1.08 patch (5frw/ar/dmg charms) have alot of frw they skip like crazy when dodging and running making it unfair as hell..teleporting with no engima pretty much

Fix these stupid spam bots that no one can ignore/squelch

Fix the game in general or let it die..this game is old I understand some exploits can not be fixed without going into the hardcode of the game but just let it die or release a free version of a new d2 with all these dupe exploits, double email register and crap gone for those who have valid cdkey

The game is unbalanced, full of cheaters, full of glitches and exploits which make it almost unplayable for someone whos been playing it since it came out..I quit in 2006 because of the dupe method you guys took so long to fix..and its still not fixed 100%..

If you are asking "what is unbalanced?"

Hammerdin with swap gear in stash > any character class build item potion hacker tppker..

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS THE HAMMERDIN IS WAY OVER POWERED FOR PVP, BEEN SAYING IT SINCE 1.10 PATCH AND NO FIX, NOT ONLY OVERPOWERED IN PVP BUT ALSO PVM, HOW DO U GIVE US SOMETHING THAT NOTHING IS IMMUNE TO EXCEPT 1 MONSTER IN THE WHOLE GAME

Summoner necros are very far from useless. They kill somewhat slowly, but are one of the very best builds for untwinked hardcore, since they're very gear independent and very hard to kill. You could solo Ubertristram as a summoner, if the game didn't drop. At the very least, you can do Baal runs in hell without any equipment as a summoner necro (quit if you see gloams.) But seriously, 20 points in SM and 20 points in RS and you have a horde of skeletons that virtually nothing kills (outside of those bugged vipers on Nihlathak's level). Use curses strategically, and max CE and you're basically unstoppable in hell (albeit much slower than sorcs or hammerdins).

For people who are playing the game from A1 normal to A5 hell, summoner necros are just fine. The only thing I would do to make them better is "Make it so your skeletons walked in front of you" or "encircled you" or something that doesn't require you running up to monsters and then running away. Also, if the path-finding of Revives was less bloody awful, that would be a significant improvement.

1. Fix Artic Blast/ Inferno bugs.
2. Make the guy in Act 2 sell druid pelts again.
3. Strengthen druid summons. Maybe make spirit wolves do magic damage so summoners can deal with physical immunes. Nobody uses spirit wolves after they get dire wolves/grizzly.
4. Improve fire druid spells. Nobody uses Armegeddon. Make it so Armegeddon is more desirable. Sure it can do a lot of damage but it is too random. Maybe make a burning aura effect around the druid in addition to the falling meteors.
5. Shock wave stun effect caps at level 15. Make levels past 15 useful. Either make it continue to add to stun duration or make it start to strip defense off the creatures or something. Or make levels past 15 more likely to affect super uniques. The damage of shock wave is minimal and massive investment in the skill should be useful. Shock wave could also synergize Maul, which would make the Maul skill a little more attractive.
6. Oh, make the spirits more survivable. They die waaaaay too often in Hell. And why do they charge into battle?
6a. Oh, give poison creeper some love too. It really doesn't do much in hell.
6b. Who maxes Raven? That should tell you they need som love too.

7. Make Act 1/3/5 mercs more useful. Almost everyone uses Act 2 mercs.

8. Make martial arts elemental skills more attractive. Nobody plays phoenix strikers.
9. Make psychic hammer useful. Seriously. Maybe psychic hammer and mind blast could synergize each other into doing decent damage.
10. Make blade sentinal and blade blade shield more useful. All the blade skills should synergize each other. Blade sentinal could be so much fun.

11. Make enigma have teleport charges instead of giving the teleport skill.
12. Remove infinity rune word. Seriously.

13. Nerf hammerdins.

14. Bowzons were nerfed too much. Give them a little love.

15. Improve Necro golemns.

Oh, I forgot to say make the Ubers and Diablo clone available in single player. Maybe the requirements for D Clone could be changed for single player so thousands of SOJ don't have to be sold.

If you take no other suggestion please take this first one!!!

I think the game would be revived by simple patching of G-Mod(FoH-cast autoaim, ignore all monsters/summons, full light radius, allows far casting, using Charged strike as a projectile) AND PLEASE change the limitations on how many games you can join per hour, etc/realm down penalties. I'm so sick of 24 hour bans from bnet when simply trying to join/rejoin games to level/PVP while I see a paladin botter hitting lvl 99 in a few weeks joining baal games 24/7 with not one realm down over the course, the limitations are a failure, they aren't stopping botting, they're just hurting the legitimate players.

I would like to see zons get pierce back in PVP, just with a say...50% chance of it working, so that bow zons arent so useless, I mean they don't do crap for damage to monsters or players even with the best gear possible.

Keep gear the same, but add new uniques, runewords possibly but honestly theres quite a few to mess with, I want to see a unique colossus girdle - uber barb belt,

Make a unique small charm that has +1 to a random skill, just any skill, all skills eligable, only able to use one though of course in stash/inventory,

Shared stash would be cool so you dont have to perm games and risk losing stuff based on the amazing bot prevention limitations that we all love.

Just change the realm down penalties, i don't care if nothing else comes from this, I hate playing the game normally, not joining or anything too quickly, not swapping characters often, not doing anything out of the ordinary and getting RIDICULOUS 24 hour bans, have you not noticed the bots on 24 hours a day creating game after game, yet i can't join a game, leave, get a new char and rejoin without getting banned for 24 hours? This is crap, I didn't pay for the game to be harassed for playing it like a normal person. Pretty sure b.net is violating its own agreement with the players by restricting their game play when people aren't even violating the ToS

you dont know bliz very well do you... sc2 comes b4 d3... there isnt even a sc2 open beta yet... and usually game comes out like 6 months to a year after the open beta starts.... not soon...d3 was basically just announced.... not to be rude to you or bliz but i dont reasonably expect d3 until 2011 at very earliest.

I like the idea of an unfinishable dungeon though... possibly just outside of tristram like d1

I would like to emphasis on the "implementability" aspect of the additional features (or fixes) for 1.13. While the suggests such as shared stash, bigger stash, widescreen support, are great, they require too much manpower to implement. Given the soon to be released Diablo 3, Blizzard is likely only able to devote a few programmers for this.

Instead, my list of suggestions requires, at least I believe, only a couple lines of code change to take effect. I will not list any balance, or more specifically, numbers, related changes to skills, items etc, as they should be done at the discretion of a more wider and experienced pool of players, such as TheAmazonBasin.

#1 BOTs: There is no easy way to fix it. Adding a verification code after creating a game is likely the only method. The code should be asked once in every few games you create, or if Battle.net suspect that you are creating games too fast. This is probably a difficult feature to implement.

#2 PK: Player Killing is part of the game as designed. There is no need for both players to agree upon hostility as it was intended to allow hostile players in the game. However, there should be a delay before the hostile button is clicked, the sound heard, and the actual hostility takes effect. This can be done by simply adding a delay() line.

Lastly, about hacks. This include maphack, classic Act 5 hack, etc. There is no easy way to stop them. I can only suggest Battle.net actively update their system to close loopholes whenever they are exploited.

youre a huge noob, smiters are already good enough, and the runewords from 1.10 were pretty much all OP or useless. they should make runewords more like the 1.11 ones that are class specific.
