Hello everyone.

I had some contact with the Blizzard support and so this is why I'm writing here.

My thoughts were that there are so many people (thounds and billions of people) who are using a none Microsoft Operating System. Exactly, I'm talking about LINUX. So many are using it and its use is still rising. But we all wounder why there is no native game from Blizzard for a Linux System?
There are a lot of people outside the world who really appreciate it, if the new upcoming Games could also be released in a native Linux version.
Sometimes i have heard that there should be some technical issues with Linux and the Blizzard Servers, but i can guarantee you, that ther are no issues. A lot of people (including me) have played games like Diablo 2, World Of Warcraft or Warcraft on Linux using an emulator.
I think its time to realise, that Linux is rising quickly and a lot of players would be really thankfull if all the new Games come with a native Linux suppot. You would gain many new loyal players.

I hope my Words will be heared.

(I'm sorry for the englisch, but it's not my mother-tongue, hope you can read and understand it anyway :D )

For sure, its your thoughts.
But I think you would really be surprised how many people ARE using Linux atm. The most problem is still, that many games are not running with Linux, so many of these Linux friends have to use Windows if they want these games.
But now we could change something.

(These are my thoughts :P )

True, SOME of them (like me) still have Windows. But we really HATE it using it.
We just need it if there are games, which we cant play on Linux, but we really really liek to.
You know, it must be a very good game, to get a Linux friend back to windows.
First we think about NOT bying it, befor getting back to windows. But if there is a native Linux Version, we dont have to think a bout such thnigs.
And guess what, if everyone would release its Games with native Linux support a lot of Windows Partitions would be erased.

Private question to you: Have you ever used a Linus system? If yes, for who long?

It's nice to see, that you have tried it.
It's funny, but you are like i was some years ago :) I also tried Ubuntu on my Notebook and on my Desktop PC. But I didnt really get comfortable with Linux.
Now some years later I tried another Linux System (Gentoo) and i have to say, that i don't wanne switch back to Windows.
Linux offers me all the things i had on Windows und much more.
Only negative thing is about some Games :(

But I hope, that the GameIndustry will change this.

So I hope on Blizzard to do so :D

Q u o t e:

It would be great, but I can't think of any reason for me to get Linux. Windows has everything I want. If a program works in one Linux distribution (for PC), does it then work for every single one? If not then that is one of the issues with making games for Linux.

Hey,
I can understand what you think of. Linux is ONE System and it doesn't matter what distribution you are using. If a game has a native Linux support, it will work an all Distributions like Debian, Gentoo, Kubuntu and all the others.
I dont wanne convince you to use Linux, but perhaps some day you give it another try ;)

Now pls Blizzard, give us native Linux support :D
