Hey,

I'm having a problem, I hope you guys can help me out

I can't connect to battle.net with warcraft III, when I try to connect I get the message:

"Unable to connect to battle.net. you may be trying to connect to an invalid battle.net server. If you are using a modem you may need to manually connect to the internet before connecting to battle.net "

Its been like this for over 2 weeks, and my brother is experiencing the same on his pc using his own legit warcraft 3 cd key

I ran a trace, this is the result:

Tracing the route to EUROPE.battle.net [213.248.106.201]

at maximum 30 hops:

1 34 ms 99 ms 99 ms dsldevice.lan [192.168.1.254]

7 31 ms 32 ms 55 ms adm-bb1-link.telia.net [80.91.254.126]

8 38 ms general error.

the trace is completed.

I have no clue of what it means? can someone help me out? thanks

I just used the diagnostic tool it says that I am IP banned

But how can this be, it has been 2 weeks and 1 day since I coulnt connect to battlenet, I thought 2 weeks was maximum

I think I know how this started, my brother had a friend over and we tried playing warcraft 3 online,
using our own LEGAL cd keys, so 3 cd keys on 1 IP address... Is this a reason to get banned??

Download the Diagnostic Tool created by Win32, below:

Extract the files and then execute the program inside.

First, type in "resolve *realm.battle.net" without the quotation marks. If you get many ip's, then that works.

The second test is to type this:
"connect *realm.battle.net" without the quotation marks.

Now, post the contents of Log.txt in a reply to this thread so it can be reviewed.

*: Change this with your realm. For example, useast.battle.net.

Wedgenator ,

The IP address you're posting from was recently used to violate the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement - http://www.battle.net/tou.shtml. The most common cause for this is connecting to Battle.net with an invalid CD-Key, followed by spamming the chat channels, use of flood or load bots, harassing another user, and/or the use of a third party program(s).

The IP address has warranted a lengthy restriction and will not be able to access Battle.net (USEast and USWest) for another 2 weeks.

Technical Support is available
7 days a week, 8am-8pm Pacific Time
I'm not available Saturday/Sunday
