i put this in general bnet suggestions but maybe this is a better place to put it.

I was wondering if it was possible to allow starcraft to be run on higher resolutions. this would mean you guys digitally enhancing the graphics of starcraft just a little better. I think doing so at this point would do a few things that would benefit everyone.

a bunch of starcraft players only stopped playing because it became outdated. a small graphics boost would encourage these players to return to the starcraft universe.

there are also many players uneasy with the many new features of SC 2. having this kind of update would remind these people that the original starcraft is still a playabale game and that it is still an option. I do not think this would hurt blizzard's business because all these sc2 haters are such SC fans, im pretty sure they would still buy sc2 to check it out anyways.

having an update like this would encourage many people to play starcraft - old and new. i believe this is a great way to give people a little 'preview' of sc2 and all it can be. a similar way this has worked in the past was the major patch WoW: BC had with earliar mounts etc a few months before WotLK.

Even upgrading the graphics to be run on the same engine or whatever, but even at 1200x800, not eve 1440 or whateverr, would be a great encouragement to the many players like myself, who feel like our beloved game is going to vanish.

If money is an issue, you can make this patch a form of "DLC" that players can opt to buy for like 5$. players who do not buy the patch can still play with people who bought it, but cannot have the nice clean graphics.

this is just a fantasy of mine, but if fulfilled, im sure MANY starcraft players would be thrilled.
