  • 0. Battle.net 2.0, not a payment question   10/19/2008 10:38:24 PM PDT
okay, so i hear about this battle.net 2.0, I'm thinking that's pretty cool. But i have two questions. I always hated having to have separate accounts for different games. I had one for wc3, one for sc, wc2, and etc. With battle.net 2.0, will we just have one account, all online game access? that is if we purchase the games. So i don't have to remember multiple accounts let alone find the CD to switch games. I'm just wondering how that whole thing is going to work out.

now, before it comes out, i wanna know if we get to keep accounts, or if we will have to make new ones. Such as...what if i was in a guild or clan or w/e, and i had friends, and i wanted to keep them so we could meet up and continue playing from battle.net 1.0 to 2.0. Should we all have meetings, decide on names to take for sc2 or d3 or any other game that might use battle.net 2.0, write the names down and hopefully we all get our desired names...or will we be able to transfer friend lists over and the such?

Good questions.

I'm not sure that information has been released about Battle.Net 2.0. Actualy I'm not sure how far along in development they are with it!

What I love about Diablo III:
+ Taking the game in a new direction
+ Random adventures as a primary form of exp-gain.
What I hate about Diablo III:
- Possibility of no LAN play!

All good questions... I don't think there have been any finite decisions made by Blizz. I'm sure they have thought of your questions though, and I think that the one account for all games idea is brilliant.

I still remember the goosebumps from watching the live unveiling.

Blizzard has stated that B.net 2.0 will be for newer game builds D3/SC2 and that they had no plans to bring older games over too B.net 2.0

Sorry i cannot provide said fact with a link but it is out there in a video somewhere!

Couldnt comment on if you could have 1 account for D3 and SC2 on B.net but would make it easier for some I am sure.
