There is a hack/bug going around that when enabled a Blood Mages phoenix is unkillable.
What happens is when the phoenix dies, it goes into the egg forum and instantly transforms back into the phoenix, no matter how many times you kill the phoenix.
This is a big problem in FFA ( havn't came across it in other game types) where the human player will mass tower, harass with flamestrike until he has level 6 and then just use his phoenix to kill off players/buildings.

As to my level being displayed wrong, something is wrong with their code as far as showing a FFA level, I havn't seen a working FFA level yet, so itsnot something just for me.

They are probably in the process of removing the FFA gametype.
Walking, I've played against the same guy. Basically the case is that unless you and him are the last two players on the map, if he wants you to lose, you will.
You're not the only one that's getting fvcked by this. I reported the player in another thread with a replay.
Now let's see if blizzard actually gives a d@mn...
