I was in a public game on my own as I got the 'Diablo Walks the Earth' message. The next second I couldn't open a TP and my merc wasn't moving anymore. It seemed I had lost my connection to Battle.net.

I hung around for a couple of minutes but nothing changed. I then left to rejoin the game but every time I got a "join failed" message.

Are some people using programs to kick other people when "Diablo walks the earth"?

No, you have these morons like diabloclone-org that try to force dclone to walk, then some unknown but large # of peeps join games to that server, effectively screwing everyone.

While no one I've talked to can give a straight answer (I even contacted tech support once for a good laugh), my assumption at this point is they stress and de-sync the system, those lucky enough to stay on can get him to spawn.

I have noticed that single player games I was in always drop lately and games I've been in with 2 or more usually stay. But that's just my observation.
