Q u o t e:

youre right about 2nd paragraph, a little wrong about first. abusers dont generally care about level, its just a few who use it to get top rank. mostly they just want to stomp noobs over and over for 85% orc stats and for the fun of always being undermatched. this unpleasantness is something good players will never experience

then they could always do that by just making new smrufs every 10 games

I am the 4v4 rt professional

Sometimes when I search for a game the eye ball graphic thing will halt as if the player menu is about to show up, but instead a message pops up after an awkward 10 second pause saying something along the lines of: 'failed to join game because another player failed to show up' I swear to god half the time ( dunno if it is a glitch or w/e) but a loss appears on my profile under the race i selected during the search....Nothing has ever pissed me off so much....this has happened to me this ladder season about 40 times and roughly 20 of which resulted in a loss. FIX IT.

Another thing...I seriously miss the old match-by-level system, what happened to it?

These are all fantastic suggestions, however my main request would entail tinkering with the AMM system so that it parallels the ~1.14 system.

The stage is set for the revival of an anthem.

My main concern is that once players like myself on any given ladder reach an ELL (Estimated Ladder Level) above the majority of the players, we end up with search times between 30 minutes and 10 hours or more.

Currently, the only get around to find games in a reasonable amount of time is to create a new account and start all over... this is very unproductive and I know Blizzard can do better than that.

I propose to create a time-curve whereas the bracket for finding a game decreases as time spent searching increases. This will ensure that all players will be playing against the best possible competition available while not wasting hours endlessly searching for opponents that do not exist.

What plans do you you have for improving on the AMM by means of decreasing search times for top ladder players?

You really have to make something with this mh issue! Watch this :http://www.sta-gaming.de/blacklist/index.php?section=que&action=details&id=1142 ranked 1 guy catched using MH in ladder game ;/ thats pathetic and really not fair for honest and not-cheating users. Next i played a ladder game today (i was really close to the 40 lvl) 2v2 rt, at the beggining i saw nothing wrong but later - well, cj on red creep and orc's knowledge about my army's moving - i felt that something is wrong ->> look http://www.sta-gaming.de/blacklist/index.php?section=que&action=details&id=1218 BOTH i repeat BOTH!! had MH, thats fu**ing insane ;/ and u really wanna do nithing with that? till january? you have to do sth really fast cause this issue is growing up! I'm not angry that im loosing with someone but i really hate that feeling when i know my enemy have the same skill but still MH gives him advantage ;/

Searching time kills me too, guys that say 'there is no problem with searching time' really should start playing wc3, because they propably left it after 1.14 went off ;d with lvl >36 it's REALLY REALLY hard to find a game o_o i mean, c'mon searching time for me is sth like 45min-1h ?;/ and im talking about 2v2 not 4v4 (i left it looong time ago....couldnt find any game).

New maps for 3v3 and 4v4 AND 1v1 AND 2v2 would be nice too ;]it's boring to play this maps since 2005?

Excuse my poor english ;d i tryed my best to explain my point.

Most of the serious non-troll posters on this forum agree that the AMM needs improvements in the area of search times for competitive players. Also, posters agree that the map pools need to be updated, e.g. remove hurricane isles, slalom, high perch and put in new or old maps like crucible or plains of snow, and keep a tab on who hates what maps and the kinds of maps. For instance:

Players hated Rock Query when TFT first launched because it was so huge and the creep camps were horrible. Same thing with Slalom... huge map and creep camps are horrible. Maps like hurricane isles are rejected because it forces aerial battles and prevents rushing and harassing.

Hacking has been a major issue since Starcraft. It will continue to be a major issue until Blizzard takes a firm stance against hackers. To this day, Blizzard refuses to permanently ban hackers on first offense.

With the track record of Karune, we can expect a patch by the 4th quarter 2009 that breaks outdated replays, introduces new bugs, yields no noticeable changes in the AMM, more maps that people hate, and a playground with a welcome sign on it for hackers, cheaters, abusers, backstabbers, llamas.

I can't wait for karune to respond. Especially about the mh problem, becuase is growing and growin up so fast;/ look at this site :http://www.sta-gaming.de/blacklist/index.php?section=about more than 1,000 bnet acc blaclisted ! we have evidence that they use hacks! and u dont give s s**t about that ;/ they still can play, still using mh and th. Blizzard dont give a s**t about warcraft community ( not talking about world of warcraft...). Anyway i thnk that if blizzard wont do anything they gonna loose a lot of players and fans.

i agree with you, i can't understand why the don't do anything against mh/th, if this is how they treat b.net community i really doubt i may buy sc2 to play online...

Hey how about fixing that stupid phoenix hack where you can't kill it because it changes to egg form for half a second.

Fix maphack- the fog of war one, all the rest are pretty outrighthous and easily detectable, but the fog of war removed map hack is the worst, and has been an issue FOR %%##ING YEARS AND YOU GUYS AT BLIZZARD HAVE DONE NOTHING ABOUGHT IT. time to overhaul warden maybe???

-ELL FOR RT
I disagree that the solution for long search times should be easier match makeing, this not only is ubsurd, it basically blizzard doing the Lossbotting for you. If you are good, then your going to have to get matched against worthy competion. NOT FREE WINS. Not to mention , it will only lead to another problem of the not so good players complaing all the time that they stand absolutely no chance.

I find this is the best Solution for matchmaking in RT within a reasonable search time. -Give RT a global search function, where the user is able to search all the current 2v2 3v3 4v4 rt gametypes simulatiously, maybe an option of the prefered game types to be played under RT would be cool, e.g (if you dont mind playing 3v3Rt and 4v4 RT , you can highlight both of them while leaving out 2v2 RT. Or you can just have them ALL for search and place the player in whichever one is avaiable/

-NEW MAP POOL FOR 3v3 4v4 RT, COME ON BLIZZARD , IS THIS SUCH A HARD REQUEST?

And last but not least, ALL CONVICTED HACKERS BE BANNED, NOT TEMPORARY, PERMANTLY %%##ING BANNED. ONCE A HACKER, ALWAYS A HACKER.
