  • 1. Re: Should I make "Venom" for my Summoner?   08/27/2010 07:04:19 PM PDT

Q u o t e:
I was checking out Arreat Summit and spotted the Venom runeword and was wondering if it is a good fit for a skelemancer. I'm planning on building a "White" for the bonus to CE and was thinking about "Venom" on switch for physical immune champions that AD won't work on.

I know that Corpse explosion should do the trick but during the testing for 1.13 I came across a situation in Worldstone where I ran into some champion Harlots among a mob. I used CE to decimate the mob but couldn't catch the Harlots in the explosion and the pair of them took out my army pretty quickly.

So I was thinking the PN from Venom would have helped in that situation.

Does anyone have experience with this? Is it a good a idea or should I not bother?

Edit:

PN= Poison Nova
CE= Corpse Explosion
AD= Amplify Damage

Added key incase someone didn't understand the abbreviations.

Amplify damage removes physical immunities:

As for venom, why? Necro has poison nova/poison explosion already. If you're having a problem with superuniques killing your army try decrepify and revives. Decrepify allso takes away physical immunities and slows down the enemy so they can hardly move. Getting the 1st kill will take a little longer but then CE will do the rest.. As for revive, having an army of monsters and skellies can never hurt.
