  • 0. Diablo 2 warden/blizzard punishing players   12/01/2009 08:46:16 PM PST
I cannot count the amount of times (which is numerous) of being banned or temp restricted from making/joining too many games. On the same note, failing to join games because i type faster than others is a pain in my "keyboard".

It is my understanding that these... "restrictions"... were put in place to reduce the thing called "botting". Yet, I have yet to see a single bot being banned for such activities. I can only see the bots getting a timer added so they do not join too many games, or games too fast. Especially with the MASS (and i do mean MASS) amount of spam bots "promoting" websites that sell items and leveling services for Diablo 2.

So far, the only punishments I've seen have gone towards players, not the bots. If Blizzard is concerned about bandwidth usage, they should remove the non-players (BOTS) (but i've seen quite a few bots as open b-net characters, maybe mass IP bans are in order again) because there is *EXPLETIVE* TON OF THEM!

I suggest a removal of these restrictions for the players to further enjoy Diablo 2.
If you support this, let it be known.

(if such ridiculous restrictions are in place with diablo 3, I wont even consider purchasing it.)
