  • 0. Brand new colour fix for Vista and Windows 7   08/08/2010 09:03:44 AM PDT
G'day everyone, I bear great gifts to the young and old :)

There is no need to close Explorer.exe process via Task Manager, there is no need to run the game
with certain windows/programs running in the background, there is no need for compatibility modes
and there is no need for virtual machines or emulators.

I have here, a fix for Windows Vista* 32 bit and 64 bit as well as Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit which
uses an unfamiliar feature built into these operating systems. (* Not tested at all with Vista or
modifications that use an alternate EXE file)

Microsoft has included compatibility fixes for Starcraft with Windows 7 but the default implemented fixes
are only for Starcraft version 1.00, 1.15 and the Starcraft Demo. I have updated it to support the latest
version of Starcraft which is v1.16.1.

You can download the fix for your operating system below. Once downloaded, execute the file by double
clicking it then choose "Yes" to add the information to the registry.

Enjoy :)
