I'm wondering about a few things. Exactly what makes an AI do what is's suposed to do?
Example: I play against a custom Zerg with Expansion Difficult. With a couple of preplaced buildings and units, I'll be attacked 4-5 times by Zerglings and Hydralisks, and that's pretty much it. It'll hardly upgrade anything, if at all. Without preplaced buildings, the AI will build everything it can and swarm over me consistently. Well, maybe not consistently, but still a lot more. This is for a campaign I've been toying around with, and I wanted my starting team to play against a Zerg without the more advancd units, like Ultralisks etc., but still a little more aggressive than just an Easy AI.
What's the deal? The resources and preplaced buildings shouldn't be a factor in the AI's agressionlevel, should it? Is it because I've limited some structures and units for that computerplayer, and that's why it can't figure out that higher-level units aren't available to build, or what?
