Obviously the search times are so long because nobody plays Warcraft III ladder games. When there were more users playing, the search times were much shorter. You might try the Warcraft III ladder on ICCup, however there are usually only a few hundred playing at a time, and its quite possible that most of them are playing the Dota ladder (Not sure how W3 ladder works on ICCup)
