The idea is simple - Once a player beats the game (either on normal difficulty, or however you want to set it up I.E. after hell mode) Allow players to explore a Dungeon with unlimited randomly generated levels with ever increasing monster difficulties.
-The Set up and ladder Idea-
-Allow those who have beaten the game to either make a game that creates randomly generated dungeons each floor or while in a specific game (in the game world) have the game open up a dungeon with unlimited floors.
-Each floor increases the difficulty of the pervious
- Every 10 or so floors the players fight a boss monster
-Players can not teleport out of the dungeon, but they can collect any loot that they find while in it.
- There should be a ladder system that tells the names of people and the highest level reached (Oh Man! Johnny the Barbarian and his buddies reached level 1000, that must have been impossible!)
-The Dungeons floors may randomly change their scenic background - I.E. you may start out in a Cathedral, but then after the first boss, you might be randomly placed into a Maggot hole dungeon.
-This will allow buddies to challenge themselves to get as far as they can, and would be fun because it requires the players to pick and choose what items they keep.
- Restrict players from re-entering a dungeon game once they leave it (even if their friends are still there), this allows credibility to the e-sport.
- The fact that you can't teleport out of the dungeon, nor re-enter it (I.E. make a new game then rejoin the dungeon game for the purpose of selling/trading items) will make it stay a e-sport type of dungeon.
-This also makes the real-world game more appealing as you can not teleport out of the dungeon in order to sell items that were found or trade them and still continue through the game.
I know this idea has been thrown around on the Diablo 3 boards I would like to add to it and cement it's background in your mind. Thank you for listening!
