(Note:Keep in mind that if you do not think you can get these things done in time for when you are going to release your game you could always add them to an expansion later on so keep them handy please I would really like to see these ideas better your games.)
Chat Options Friendly Game Joining When it tells you that your friend has entered a game called "anything", and then you have to go searching for it. Lot's of times the game will be full by the time you try to play with your friend. There is a simple cure to this problem make the game name click able to join that game!
map sending I think it would be handy if someone could offer a map to another player in the chat so that they could download it straight from the chat. reasons why it would be great for custom game makers who work together on there games because they need to hand off there map to a few different people sometimes a few times a day and get it back from them after they have made those changes.
page system A page system would be nice because everyone multi tasks it's just life but if it could make a sound when the game is minimized if someone whispers you that would be very handy.
Recent Players It would really be handy if you could put a recent players list that adds all the recent players from the last played game or an easy way to add them as a friend later or look at there stats after a game without losing there name.
Game Play Options It would be nice if in the game play options you would be able to choose what priority the game will run at. (example: Very High, High, Mid, Low) I make a self starter for all my games it would be nice if at least one of them would have this built into it, It really helps the game run smoother if you have a computer that can handle the higher priority, that's why I think it would be good to keep this option able for the slower computer users who can't use higher priorities.
Unlock-ables Name Colors I think that people like the ability to unlock things such as the icons you used in Warcraft III Frozen Thrown. However those were not really much to look at maybe you could unlock an ability to change the color of your name (example: 10 wins gives you orange and 100 wins gives you blue and maybe 100 losses gives you red.)
Character It might would be cool to have you stats effect the way your units look even maybe when you hit a certain amount of wins you could add a glowing effect possibility that could disabled by the player if they choose.
Better Stats Everyone likes stats, and getting there stats up it is fun and good competition and it is addictive 2. However you may not have noticed but most of the online players that have played Warcraft 2/3 and the older Starcraft games play custom games a lot more then the basic game and no stats are given in these custom games. I think it would be wonderful to have stats for those custom games even if it's just wins and losses competition is the key. You could like these stats to some of my unlock-able ideas.
Better Custom Game Team Refreshing Your older games refreshing was not good enough because of this issue many people resorted to making programs that would refresh for them breaking the rules of your battle.net services. I highly recommend that you make it so that it automatically refreshes for you for at least 5 mins so that you have time to get enough people for a game to work.
Kick System A good kick system would be nice I think the best way of doing it would be to make it so that at least 2/3 of the people playing would vote after one person has typed -kick thatplayer like how it has been used in some of the custom games that have done pretty good in warcraft 3.
Players in a game It would be really nice to know how many players are in a game before you join it.
Editor Issues You may not have been aware of this but there has been many people who have actually made a mimic version of your editors for pretty much every game made by blizzard with an editor. The reasons for this are they want to be able to do more things then the editor allows and they want to provide an easier way to make games faster to be able to do required things for a good custom game such as (path following, set spawning points and easier ways for added there own images to the game icon and loading screen.)
Custom Character Creator I believe that a wonderful character editor would really help boost your sells, I know a lot of people who enjoy making the characters for these types of games but there is a lot of work involved with making custom characters. It would be nice if you at least had a real basic one with a lot of presets like the custom character creators on console games. (example: soul calibur 4 here is a video of the editor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3m8fsZoNWY4 ) scaling is important and colors to this way you have your presets but they can look very different in many ways.
more custom You could also add a custom building creator and a custom terrain editor.
