The retail version uses securom. There's something on the steam version as well, but the good old games version has no DRM whatsoever.

I'm tired of having to crack games I've paid for just to play them, but let's not go down that road again.

I can't post the link, but the GoG .exe and paul.dll will fix crashes and improve framerate, sometimes drastically, which is what I want to say here. I've read a lot of "troubleshooting" from %!%*ing retards who tell me to do the 3GB switch...on my 64-bit system with 8gb of RAM. It's like they don't even think.
