So I finally found Diablo Clone. USWest (ip 63.241.83.70:4000), Softcore Ladder, spawned him in Act 5 in the Frigid Highlands (Eldritch). Excitedly I ran out to fight him with my newly made smiter. As soon as I got within about five steps of him, I got the message "Your connection has been interrupted" and was booted back into the channel. I was relieved to find that the game still existed. I rejoined, and sure enough when I got approximately the same distance from Diablo Clone I got connection interrupted again. I tried many things such as bringing a friend in, bringing another character of mine in and approaching him from a different angle all to no avail.

I am very well aware that there is nothing Blizzard will do to give me another shot at Diablo Clone. However, I would like to know why this happened, if other people have had this problem, how to prevent it and if anything is being done to fix it.

I should also note that no third party programs were being used during this problem. However, I was running Diablo II in -w (windowed) mode.

Here are some specs of my computer:
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Phenom II x4
Fujitsu 1TB Harddrive
Running in Direct3D
Using CD Images instead of physical discs (via PowerISO)
