I made a post on this about a week ago, but I also worded it sort of poorly, not to mention the lack of help was depressing.

I've been having problems playing custom games since this new patch thereabouts. Some work, such as Castle Fight, Enfos, and most tower defense maps. The ones that don't work are often the more complex ones; the RPG and RP style maps, as well as DotA. Coincidently, those are the types I enjoy playing most.

Oftentimes what'll happen is the game starts fine, but once the map is finished loading my game will crash to the desktop without warning or an error window. Figuring out how to solve this is proving to be one of the hardest things I've done, as WoW greatly overshadows 'any' attempts at searching for anything Warcraft related on the internet.

What I've done: Re-installed both with discs and the virtual installer. Swapped out RAM. Ran multiple memory diagnostics. Trying -opengl and -window mode. Nothing works - the force-crashes still persist.

Here's the dump file that went along with it. All crashes are identical to this one; I went through them thoroughly. What I can't figure out is why war3.exe does this. I would've figured a fresh reinstall would fix the problem.

Please help. This is really getting frustrating, as WC3 is still one of my favorite games.
