  • 0. Blizzard ban?   02/08/2009 09:51:47 AM PST
I lost my cd key of diablo 2. So I thought I'd download a key-gen, since I wanted to play singe player anyway. Just for the fun I tried to login on Bnet. After a patch it says the cd key is invalid. Nothing new.

When I try to login to Warcraft 3 battle.net, it says I'm unable to connect. At diablo 2 I connected to Asia and Europe gateway. In Wc3 my europe and asian gateway. So looks like an IP-ban. But then, when installing wc3 with another cd key. Battle.net works again.

So blizzard can ban all the cd keys on one computer all at the same time? O_o
I've read about many similar cases, but then with diablo 2. (d2 forums) Is this an ip-ban too?

They say these bans from diablo can last from 24 hours to 20 days. What's the case with cd key ban, 30 days?
