I had the same problem, but that's not my problem. My problem is that battle.net thinks I have a virus or something (witch I don't because I recently installed this computer with security measures). I downloaded the Game from Blizzard, implemented the cd-key gained a 26-digit cd key.
So far so good, I uppgraded starcraft (downloaded it from Battle.net mirrors).
"Battle.net was unable to properly identify your application version. Please uninstall and then reinstall the application. If the problem persists then you may have a computer virus. For information on detecting and removing this virus you may contact us by email at support@blizzard.com"
(I also got a screenshot)
I just do not know what to do, I reinstalled it and yet it doesn't wont work. I noticed that you needed CD-key to login here in the forum, used the Game key and it work. I am going to try to reinstall and let starcraft uppgrade it for me and going to see what it says then.
You'll need to reinstall and patch using this:

Blizzard is currently aware of the issue and is hoping to issue an updated standalone patch soon.
