Q u o t e:
I would really like to see Blizzard take action on this. There is simply no need for 6 Bots to be hosting a map like Run Kitty Run at one time. It's malicious as it reduces the game's playability. I view 3rd party host bots as being on the same level as a map hack program for which there should be absolutely no tolerance. I am an owner of Starcraft 2 and I will continue to purchase new Blizzard games, but not if they allow serious playability issues like this to fester.

Here is a screenshot of how this issue affects enjoyment of the game: http://i52.tinypic.com/314wkt5.jpg
There is no denying that 3rd Party Hosting bots are detrimental to the Warcraft 3 community on both Reign of Chaos and the Frozen Throne.

I am able to host games from my computer and am willing to do so for anyone who is interested in playing a game, provided you're willing to look for it in a list of dozens of illegitimate bot games, which at this point is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I totally agree, lots of people still do play warcraft 3, so why let it run into the ground because of bots? I never play The Frozen Throne anymore because i'm unable to host due to the bots. whenever I go on the Frozen Throne every single game is bot hosted and most of them don't even get played because no one can stay long enough to wait for it to start, so they're there for months. Clan AKR's recent spamming of Run Kitty Run has made me worry about how long our manual hosting will last. I personally think bots should be shut down, and clans should have to host their games manually. Bots are just the product of greed and laziness anyways.
