Q u o t e: D&D isn't far behind. It only seems all that useful against Human, and the chance to use it in a strategically meaningful context hasn't come up much for me even then. I haven't played Orc much, but Earthquake seems fairly bad too, no?
Earthquake, Volcano, Tornado and Death and Decay are all intended siege spells. However, there's not one situation where you can freely siege your enemy's base with a channeled spell where the game isn't already won.
