So to start, I called Blizzard Support yesterday. Was told the wait time to speak to a representative was 1 minute. I'm like alright, fastest support call ever. This is of course until 5 minutes went by, and then another 5 minutes, and then another 5 minutes. I waited according to my cell phone 48 minutes on a 1 minute Queue time.
Finally a man picks up and I speak to him fairly, not even upset about the wait time, (I do mention it at the end.) I ask about the problem with USEast and he had absolutely no clue what I was talking about. I had to mention this was a call about Diablo II and then I got the response, (Oh okay let's take a look at that for you.)
After putting me on hold for another 10 minutes, and searching through data, he came to the conclusion that the following had happened.
1.)There was a maintenance
2.)There were issues with the maintenance.
According to the phone tech, He does not get shared details with when issues will be fixed, when maintenance will be looked into or anything of such and I was directed here. I was told to watch the forums for a blue post.
I've been watching since yesterday. Maintenance was now 3 days ago. I cannot imagine if this sort of problem was happening on Diablo 3 or World of Warcraft how long it would take to resolve it. Can you imagine E-sports playing a Starcraft 2 competition, and every new game that started was disconnected randomly after 2 minutes?
I looked into blue posts on these forums, because I was a bit curious. Turns out the average blue post comes about once every 6 months. Weird, kinda seems like there is only a post stating there will be a Ladder Reset soon. Oh wait, yup. Hundreds of threads with questions to Blizzard and not even a single response. Am I to assume that in a billion dollar gaming company, the biggest and most respected game company they cannot afford a single customer service person to answer questions on these forums?
Some will say, Why make this post? If blues don't post here what are you accomplishing. Well I plan on emailing this thread to just about every blizzard email address I can get my hands on. I plan on calling and calling in again until someone responds to these issues and addresses them accordingly.
I realize WoW has an expansion coming out, D3 just hit, and Heart of the Swarm is nearing release. But there is still a fairly large dedicated D2 population still here that didn't fall for your complete mistake of a game sequel.
